WHAT ARE WE - The United Cerebral Palsy Association of South Africa ‘Harry Kessler Centre’ is home to 50 children and young adults who suffer the effects of Profound Cerebral Palsy:
Quadriplegia                                          Paraplegia
Hydrocephalus                                      Speech defect
Blindness                                               Deafness
Mental Disability                                    Combination of all Disabilities
All of whom require and receive round-the-clock-care. Most residents have been abandoned or orphaned and come from all over South Africa (3years of age upwards).

WHO ARE WE - We are a non-government, non-denominational organization and are politically independent. We are affiliated to the International Cerebral Palsy Association (London) and are members of the National Council for Persons with C.P. (S.A)

WHY SUPPORT OUR CAUSE - Our Children count on your support as your contribution helps us provide specialized nursing care, medical care, physio therapy, occupational therapy, aqua therapy, neuro oxygen therapy, schooling, food, clothing and other essentials and above all a home they can call their own with ‘mothers’ who love them and help them reach their full potential. C.P. is caused through lack of oxygen to the brain before, during or after birth.

CURRENT / FUTURE PROJECTS - We are currently upgrading the existing facilities and the residence to accept another 30 children. A boundary wall called “The Wall Of Love” will be built around the residence for security reasons. A conference and venue centre has started being built on the premises with the view for the home to eventually become self-sustainable. You are most welcome to come and take a tour of the premises and to meet our children.

Every donation you make to the United Cerebral Palsy Association now and in the future means that you will receive in the post an 18A tax receipt together with our acknowledgement of thanks in appreciation of your gift to those whom civil society has placed in our care.

N.B. - All tax-related documents are valuable! Please keep all tax receipts in a safe place until required by the S.A. Revenue Services to submit your tax return.
